Muir Woods Redwoods National Park

I believe that once in life, we do fall in love, not necessarily with a person, but a dream, an ambition to explore new horizon in journey of life and more often it will be the reason to wake up with a smile... :) I guess I am in love with nature and Muir woods visit increased this fascination towards nature.... yes... Its an divine experience to roam around in jungle, explore them... listen to voice of birds, leaves....!!

Muir Woods Redwoods National Park is very dense forest with full of redwood trees. Some trees here are more than 400 years old. There are different trails in this forest and as per your wish you can choose any one of the path and just roam in forest. Just enjoy the nature around you and have Good time. Since last so many days I missing pinnacle club, I haven't gone for trekking for more than 5 months now... I thought this is Good opportunity to enjoy trekking, So we choose one of the longest hillside trail and started our journey. Chandra sir lead the trek, me and Balaji were following sir.
Our trek path was like "hillside trail -- bootjack trail -- troop 80 tail -- panoramic trail -- ocean view trail and back to visitor center". The red color line in above map show path followed by us. We were walking for almost 5 hours and it was full of fun. I have got really nice picture and yes I have tried to make very small documentary of this journey... hope you will get same experience through this video.

While roaming in forest at one point I was bit tired so just sat at one place to take some rest, meantime Chandra and Balaji went bit ahead of me. This kind of silence and serenity always takes you into introspection and storm of thoughts start roaring your mind. Yeah.. no doubt whatever may be situation one should never get disappointed and always maintain positive attitude towards life. But you cannot always control things around you and sometimes some events do disappoint you. I guess my best friend caught my bit dull mood and I realized that someone is calling me... "Hey Sandy..." I tried to identify whose this??.... After sometime I realized that its my friend tree..... It was giant redwood tree. I realized that my friend tree is talking with me...

Tree: Hey Sandy, yes.... its me. What happened friend? why your bit dull today?

Me: Nothing... I am fine and enjoying as usual....

Tree: he he he he..... you can't lie to me. I can read you.

Me: Nothing yaar.... When you work really hard in adverse conditions, even after that you get neglected and don't get fruit of it. This situation leads to some disappointment.

Tree: ohhh...!!! Its very common problem in this world and because of increased selfishness you may face this situation every other step in your life. But you got guard your charisma against all these things.... look towards me... what do you think?? was it easy to survive for these 400 years?? you cant even think of difficulties I have faced during last 400 years... But I maintained my charisma, my positive will power during all that times. maintained my courage to blossom in every spring... thats why today I am standing in front of you. do see those butterflies on that flower???

Me: yes...

Tree: Just be like them in your day today life.... Take Good things from each situation and move ahead in your life...!!

Me: Hey.... Thanks friend... I really got some new energy...

Tree: Your welcome yaar.... one more thing. See when you will successfully handle these kind of adverse conditions, it will teach you very valuable lesson. Remember, outside light or source of energy is going to switched off or finish, You should create fire of inspiration from within. It will give you two advantages: You will be able to identify your path very clearly and if someone tires take you in hand they will get burned.

Me: Yes... once again really really thanks..!!! I am feeling more stronger now... yes... your Sandy is back my friend..... :)

Tree: thats like friend of mine..!!!.... see... someone is calling you, please go ahead now.... bye ..tc

Me: bye.. tc

Suddenly I came out of that thought and realized that I am lagging behind and starting walking fast to catch balaji and Chandra sir.
ohh.... not sure if tree talked with me or it was storm of thought in my mind in that divine silence.... but yes I got the conclusion...!!!

Just thought that it may be useful to my friends as well thats why shared it here... :)

As mentioned earlier, This is short video of this trip. Being cameramen, director and everything I am not in this video ;)

Monterey and Caramel

Being in bay area and not going to any beach? doesn't sound Good... right?..... so thought of going to one of the very Good beaches like Monterey and Caramel. Early morning it was cloudy day but we were hoping that soon it will be sunny and started driving towards Monterey. Suddenly Its started raining heavily. Chandra sir was busy in driving and I was enjoying this atmosphere with music and biscuits.... he he he he... I think going on a long drive on rainy day is really Good idea. forget everything.... just relax and keep on moving.....!!! After some time rain intensity decreased a bit and We witnessed very beautiful rainbow... wow.. It was really beautiful view and I have tried to capture some nice pictures of it.

In Monterey there are lot of things to do like go to aquarium and some lazer beam game and all. but we preferred to roam around beach and do some photography. This reminds me of "Alibaug" outings with friends on rainy day. Once I am back surely need to go back to "Alibaug" with my gang. There are some whale watching tours where they take you in deep sea in boat and you can watch some whales. But this was canceled because of bad weather. One special thing about this beach is there is "deep sea diving" center. Just had a chat with one deep sea diver, he had went up to 50 feet deep in water but could go much deeper because of bad weather. wow... roaming under water...talking with fish.... really I think its an interesting activity..!!

Some time back, Monterey was capital of California. So this city has lot of historical importance. We can see lot of old fashioned buildings and all. There is one road where they have preserved all the old buildings. We can have walk on this road, Its really enjoyable walk tour. Even they have preserved first theater of California on this street. I think some similar tourism concept even we can develop in Mumbai because even in Mumbai, CST area has lot of historical buildings having really nice structures.

After having such a nice time at Monterey we moved to Caramel beach. ah..... This is again very beautiful beach. There were very very high height waves on this beach. When wave comes for a moment you may feel that tsunami is coming towards you.... he he he he ...... but very soon that wave strike sand and splits away.... he he he.... ah... What a relief..!!... I enjoyed this game with waves for long time. We wanted to wait till sunset on this beach but because of longer journey, we started back bit early.

Most of the time many people specially go out for watching "sunet". I have never heard anyone saying "We are going to watch Sunrise". When I go out, I try to enjoy sunrise as well but don't find many people with me. But you will find lot of people for enjoying sunset. This is reminds me of typical human mentality... If your Good and doing Good work then except some closed ones there will not be many people who will watch you or encourage you or will express that "Your doing Good work". But if some mistake happens from you or something goes wrong with you then yes there will be many people to watch you or criticize you.... he he he he.... ah.... It was just a perception guys, don't feel bored, but I think there is some point in this thought.... he he he he .......

In general, One Good thing about California is historical places, monument's, beaches are maintained and presented properly because of which tourism is well developed here and local people are getting some work and money. Back home, even my "Kokan" has really nice natural beauty, Its just that we need develop it more properly....If we do it then one day, my "Kokan" will also become California.....!!!

Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park, one sentence description would be "heaven on earth". This valley is wonderful example of miraculous beauty of nature. Yosemite park is full of variety of different types of plants, waterfalls and ice at some higher elevation places. I have never been to Kashmir in India but whatever Kashmir I have seen in movies, I could correlate it with Yosemite valley. In addition to such superb natural beauty, continuously changing weather made this trip more exciting and memorable experience.

There are many ways to enter into this valley. Through the road which we had chosen, mighty "El Capitan" welcomed us. Its around 3600 feet tall granite cliff. Sun had just risen and this cliff's beauty was at different level. For initial 5 mins I couldn't believe what I was seeing..!!! I felt like I am in heaven and started searching for Apasara's around me.... he he he he .... I have tried to capture really nice pictures of this cliff. This cliff also open for rock climbing... ah.... being die-hard mountaineer, its dream to climb "El Capitan" one day.

Summer is about to start and there are many waterfalls flowing in this valley in full form. One of the reason may be because slowly ice at the top start melting. I guess "Bridalveil Falls" is one the tallest and biggest among them. Because of denser forest, couldn't go to much closer of this waterfall. But this "Yosemite waterfall" relieved me from this disappointment. One of the video at the end of this blog will give idea of this waterfall. weather was extremely Good and wanted to go for hiking on one of the trail in this park but because of time constraint we couldn't do it.

After "Yosemite waterfall" zigzag path around the hills lead me to very high position on hill and we reached "Tunnel View". This is a place from where you can see this entire valley at one glance. If you look at above picture properly then you can notice that on left side there is "El Capitan", on right side there is "Bridalveil Falls" and in between of these two there is denser red wood forest... ah.. What a view it was..!!! I have captured video of this for you guys ;)

Didn't wanted to move away from tunnel view but "Glacier Point" was calling me so started marching towards "Glacier Point". while driving through this road suddenly environment changed. It started raining and we couldn't see anything other than fog on the road. oh my God..!! couldn't believe that such a Good weather can become bad within half an hour. so while driving on this road, on left side there was ice hill, on right side very deep valley and fog in front of us. For a moment thought of moving back but my will to see glacier point gave me some courage and we continued. Really hats of to Chandra sir who droved very well even in this condition. I think one of the video at end of this blog should give you an idea of How terrible it was..!!!
Finally we reach at one point on way to glacier point but road after that was closed because of bad weather, so stopped there and spent some time in playing in ice. enjoyed a lot in ice..!!! There was no skiing facility here so missed it :(

After having such a nice time at Yosemite, with heavy heart started journey back to home in our car. wanderer inside me was convincing that "come on yaar...!!... move on, you will be out again in search of another amazing place..!!!" while listening to music and enjoying gentle cool breeze didn't realized when did I falls asleep...no need to tell that in dream, I was back at tunnel view... he he he he .... ;)
